Can Bentley Be Recycled?


Aside from... British automaker Bentley has made a daring innovative move by becoming the first carmaker in the luxury category that bestows its environmental strategy with a guarantee that the materials utilized in all of its existing Continental models are 85 percent recyclable or 95 percent recoverable. "The first serial model, the Continental Supersports, which was already introduced at the Geneva Motor Show, uses either gasoline or ethanol, a fuel that has been known to reduce emissions of CO2. As the trailblazer in the luxury segment, the carmaker is opening the way for a customer-based shift toward alternative fuels. The company is intent on putting all their models on flex fuel technology by 2012. In combination with this will be a new powertrain that is known to reduce fuel consumption by an amazing 40 percent. By 2012, Bentley fleet will come with reduced CO2 emissions of 15 percent."

British car maker Bentley is pleased to introduce what is the MTM Birkin Edition of its world renowned Continental GT. Bentley and tuning specialist MTM has come up with an upgrade for the Bentley Continental GT that significantly improves exhaust, retuned engine,and some undisclosed adjustments. The MTM Birkin package has boosted power with an added 90hp giving the Continental GT a top speed of 205mph, awarding this Continental GT the fastest Bentley in the world. The Birkin package starts at $30,000 and is available for the Bentley Flying Spur as well as the Continental GTC

The Mardan Palace


Last night was the spectacular unveiling of the £800 million luxury resort in Antalya, Turkey, the Mardan Palace, which had an estimate of 600 rich and famous people who watched and enjoyed an extravagant firework show at its opening party. The Mardan Palace is as royal as it sounds, after all it's one of Europe's most luxurious hotels or one of the most luxurious hotels on Earth rather. It's probably the only place where champagne costs £25 a glass, gold plated mirrors on the floor of bathrooms, remote controlled toilets, and exclusive beaches constructed from over 9,000 tons of white sand imported from Egypt. The lavish resort comprises of 560 rooms, including two Royal Suites with private pools with each suite costing a roughly £11,500 a night.

Guests are encouraged to take pleasure in a 30minute gondola sail around the Mediterranean’s largest swimming pool or if you like swimming amongst the fishes, there're five enormous aquariums that contains 2,400 fishes. The resort also features one of eleven waterside Italian restaurants.

Burberry Lights Up the Skies of New York


On 28 May 2009, Burberry will become the newest addition to the Manhattan Skyline when three 50 foot long neon Burberry signs will be lit above the new Burberry Americas headquarters at 444 Madison Avenue in New York.


“We are all so excited about Madison Avenue. It’s such an iconic building which we feel is the perfect new home for Burberry in America and will be another huge chapter in our rich history,” says Burberry creative director Christopher Bailey, who also designed the headquarters.

New 157-Ft., $22 Million Superyacht from Oceanfast


Australian luxury yacht builder Oceanfast has just announced its new 157-ft. semi-custom superyacht, due for completion in July at its shipyard in Western Australia. The ship can accommodate up to 10 guests and 10 crew. Four guest cabins are separated from an aft lazarette designed fro diving and leisure activities on the external swim platform by a well situated engine room. The superyacht has a top speed of 16knots and 4,000 nautical mile range at a cruising speed of 12 knots from its twin diesel engines, making it an ideal craft for long range exploring.

Yasmin Sethi explored ways in which newspapers could be reused and their life extended. This project, inspired by the versatility of newspapers extends their role in our daily life."

Selfridges Continues to "Paint the Town Yellow" with Coca Cola


As you may already know, London department store, Selfridges celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. Aside from RIM, many house hold names took part in the festivity by releasing limited edition items sporting the company's iconic yellow colour. Coca Cola has also released a limited edition bottle just for the occasion.

The young but ambitious German fashion label, Dekadent Belter became most famous when they first made headlines with their €1,001 Polo tees. With each polo tee shirt bearing the statement; “FCK M3 I’m Rich,” is stitched with golden yarn, is decorated with pearl buttons and a 14 carat gold medal exhibiting the Dekadent logo. The German fashion label since then has added a new belt and watch collection to it's sartorial offering. Christian Louboutin Receives a "Leg Up" from Marie Antoinette


If you're one of the countless bona fide enthusiasts of Christian Louboutin, then you're probably losing your head over the limited edition Marie Antoinette shoe collection. Louboitin collaborated with world famous embroider, Franco Indian Textile Group, to create these "candy-coloured platforms" inspired by the sartorial style of the 17th century French queen and icon of excess.
Only 36 pairs were created, each shoe overflows with coloured beads, chiffon ruffles and velvet linings. A removable porcelain doll face wearing its hair in the distinguishing style of the 17th century queen is featured on the ankly strap.

Clayton I-House Starting at $93,300

"HOME" the Limited Edition T-shirt by Gucci


















Gucci recently announced their support for HOME, the unique cinematic environmental film directed by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, produced by Luc Besson and funded by Gucci parent company the PPR group. In honor or the film, Gucci designed a special, limited edition t-shirt, which will go on sale in select Gucci stores worldwide and on Gucci.com beginning May 25th. Gucci's creative designer, Frida Giannini has designed the t-shirt using 100% organic cotton and natural dyes in recyclable packagin, to intensify the message of sustainability.
