Etihad Airways unveiled its new Diamond first class cabin, which has truly redefined luxury air travel. The new Diamond cabin comes with individual suites, that are designed to offer additional privacy, maximum comfort, and increased storage. These first class cabin suites are scheduled to be fitted onto a brand new A340-600 starting August 2009, but will be seen across Etihad's entire fleet over the next two years.
Each suite has an extra large seat with power sockets for an Ipod or laptop, adjustable headrests and lengthens to a fully flat bed that's equipped with a built-in massager. Mounted on the wall is a 23" wide-screen LCD screen with in flight entertainment system that offers more than 600 hours of on-demand entertainment.
